Rhythm & Rock

Rhythm & Rock is a rock-band style, virtual program suitable for children between ages 8 - 12 years old. Through a team-building and collaborative approach, participants will learn to work as a group to learn and play participant preferred music. The group goal is to provide opportunities for cooperation and communication skills. It is recommended that participants have some musical experience to participate.

During the session Tyler, a qualifying music therapist & psychotherapist, will incorporate;

  • song writing
  • song sharing
  • learning new music
  • adapting songs
  • performing
  • playing together

This VIRTUAL program will be held using "Zoom" so that you can access it from the comfort of your own home at no additional cost from any of your devices. If you’re taking music lessons concurrently with this program, this could be a great way to show off what you’re learning on your chosen instrument(s).

Participants will have to supply their own instruments or check out our DIY instrument resources. The music therapist will incorporate popular and familiar songs to make sure all participants can enjoy the program.
